The software stack signals that matter before a firm changes course

Look beyond a feature inventory and identify the operational signals that suggest a technology decision is worth prioritizing.

Most firms have more than enough tools to begin a conversation. The harder question is whether the current stack creates a material operational constraint for the team, its clients, or its ability to grow.

Start with signals that the firm can observe: recurring manual reconciliation, client handoffs that require repeated follow-up, inconsistent visibility into work, or staff capacity that is consumed by process recovery rather than delivery.

Those signals do not point to one product by themselves. They do, however, make it easier to select a category, compare providers, and measure whether a proposed change supports the firm’s operating goals.
